On Wednesday, April 22, 2015 Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah received a delegation of academics from different European countries, namely the UK, France, Norway, Sweden and Iceland, in a visit that aimed at learning about the effects of  the Israeli occupation on higher education in Palestine.

The visit also aimed at strengthening mutual ties between the Palestinian academics and the institutions represented by the delegation.

In their meeting with Prof. Natsheh, he briefed the guests on An-Najah's programs and development projects as well as its academic ambitions for the future.

The delegates also met with several deans and representatives of different academic and administrative departments such as the Projects Unit and the UNSECO Chair for Human Rights.

Notes:

-          The first meeting was attended by Dr. Mohammad El-Amleh, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Mr. Saed Abu Hijleh from the Department of Geography,  and Mr. Alaa Abu Dhair from the Public Relations Department at An-Najah.

-          The 2nd meeting was attended by Dr. Akram Daoud, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Maha Atmeh, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Dr. Alia Assali, Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Teachers' Training, Dr. Hassan Ayoub, Assistant Professor at the Political Sciences Department, and Dr. Rabeh Mrarr, Head of the Economics Department.

-          After their meetings, the delegates were given a tour of An-Najah campus and were introduced to the different facilities.
