On Wednesday, April 8, 2015, An-Najah participated in the Scientific Society of Arab Nursing Faculties' conference, representing the State of Palestine in the Conference which was held at the American University of Beirut and was over tow days.

The representatives discussed the status of the nursing profession in the Arab World, the difficulties encountering scientific research and the association's website.

The attendees reached an agreement in which they allow the association's executive committee to introduce non-member Arab Universities to the association especially in Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria and Libya. They also agreed upon initiating implanting the regulations of the accreditation and quality assurance guide to ensure the quality of nursing programs in the colleges of Arab Universities.

Notes:

-       The meeting was attended by 35 deans of Faculties of Nursing at Universities from universities in Egypt, Sudan, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine.

-       An-Najah National University was represented by Dr. Aidah Al-Kaissi, Head of the Nursing and Midwifery Department.

-       The accreditation and quality assurance guide consists of the program's objectives, the learning outcomes, the curriculum, the staff, the library, students' assessment, supporting services, scientific research and quality enhancement.

-       The Scientific Society of Arab Nursing Faculties consists of 82 Arab University members and consists of 3 committees; the scientific research, assessment and students' training and the accreditation and quality committees.

-       The representatives agreed upon holding another conference for the association in Khartoum-Sudan in October, 2016.
