On Monday 16 February 2015 An-Najah Training Hospital inaugurated the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Unit which was funded by the Japanese government.

This Unit which is equipped with the most cutting edge machines is meant to provide the best possible services in X-Rays, CT, and MRI.

In his speech, Prof. Saleem Haj Yahia CEO of the Hospital talked about the new unit which is considered one of the best in the region. He also thanked the Japanese Government for their kind donation and the Ministry of Health for its support.

In turn, Dr. Jawad Awwad, Minister of Health stated that the Ministry is always happy to support all service providers in the private sector. He also talked about the progress that the medical sector in Palestine has made.

The Japanese Ambassador in Palestine Mr. Junya Matsuura said: “We are pleased to contribute to enhance the quality of medical systems and to improve the health care services for Palestinian people. “ He also emphasized Japan’s firm commitment of supporting Palestinian people from human security perspective, as well as the importance of implementing social and economic development projects needed for Palestinian communities”.
