A specialised medical team at An-Najah National University Hospital, headed by Dr. Khaled Demyati, Surgical Consultant of Hepato Pancreatic Biliary Surgery and Endoscopy, has conducted a new series of surgeries on liver resection and complicated pancreas tumours. The surgeries are a first in Palestine and concentrate on procedures such as Whipple surgery, as well as thyroid and neck tumour surgery, for patients from all over Palestine.

Dr. Demyati said that the Department of Surgery at the Hospital is equipped with the expertise and skills to carry out these operations. Illustrated by having a special and distinguished support team made up of anaesthetists, intensive care doctors and nurses, radiology and diagnostic and interventional support colleagues. The team spirit made the treatment of these cases and other ones possible and successful, with patients who underwent these operations now recovering and getting back to their normal lives.
