On Tuesday 15 April, the Department of French Language at An-Najah hosted the French journalists Phillipe Agrier and Saleem Tabe’a who are officials at Agence France Presse (AFP) in Jerusalem.

The workshop aimed at motivating students to explore the world of French journalism and politics by introducing them to the work IFP does and inviting discussion about these topics.

Mr. Philip explained that the agency’s office in Jerusalem  works in 4 languages; Arabic, English, French, and German, and that journalism  and collecting news and information is hard work as it requires accuracy , accentuation, credibility and rapidity.

Notes:

-          Agence France Presse (AFP) is the largest French news agency, the oldest and one of the largest in the world, their office in Jerusalem collects news from the Arab World.
