On 31 March Prof. Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah, received the Deputy Consul of Italy in Jerusalem Mrs. Elena Clemente and the Director of Economic Programmes Marco Izzalini.

Prof. Natsheh welcomed Mrs. Clemente thanking her for visiting An-Najah and briefing her on the University history and development of the University: the academic curricula; University campuses; and University Hospital and its role in providing students and the Palestinian community with medical services.
Prof. Natsheh applauded Italy’s role in supporting the Palestinian people and stated the University’s willingness to establish academic cooperation with Italian universities.
Mrs. Clemente thanked Prof. Natsheh for the hospitality and discussed with Dr. Hanoun, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, and the possibilities of cooperation in organising the “Italy Open Day”. Prof. Natsheh expressed his pleasure in holding this event and promised to work together with the Italian Consulate in the future.
