Why to learn Arabic?

 

We should not underestimate the significance of the Arabic language. It is the mother tongue of more than 250 million

people around the world since it is the language of the Holy Qur'an. The Holy Qur'an has preserved Arabic in its purest form in the eyes of Muslims. Arabic has been one of the  official languages of the United Nations.

Studying Arabic enables scholars to better understand the Middle East; its history and civilization. And, knowledge of Arabic is advantageous for those who plan to work in any Arab countries.

 

Registration

 

You may register for "Arabic for Non-Native Speakers" in the summer session :

Summer session : 8 weeks

 

These intensive courses are available for beginners and intermediates students .

The Summer Session consists of 12 hours of instruction per week, for 8 weeks. Each course is worth 6 credit hours. Student should set for written and oral exams before getting their certificate.

 

Arabic 101

Concerns the beginners, usually it is in the field of local Arabic. which is interacted with the preliminary Arabic language classes, and the students are taught the following subject:

  1. Arabic Alphabetic, and the greeting and farewell vocabulary.

  2. Numbers.

  3. Time limits, days and months.

  4. Discrete pronouns ( first  person, second person and third person )

  5. Inquiry tools.

  6. In the market.

  7. In the kitchen

  8. In the car.

Arabic 102

Concerns student who have [previous knowledge in Arabic language, either speaking or writing this course aims at enabling them to proceed in Arabic language, and to raise level of their performance, the main subject of his level are as follows:

  1. Continuous pronouns.

  2. Adverbs.

  3. Preposition.

  4. Singular and plural.

  5. Subject and predicate.

  6. Verbs and objects.

  7. Tenses of verbs.

    Students are granted a certificate once they are graduate from this training course and their level is specified.

 

Classroom instruction is supplemented by exposure to the language in its everyday use.  This is accomplished by field trips to historical sites, Palestinian rural areas, and trips to other cities in Palestine.  You will be encouraged to meet and interact with people everywhere,  immersing you in the very fabric of Palestinian society, gaining for yourself an insider's view of our lives.  Colloquial Arabic will come naturally and on an informal basis
